New boil-water advisory for part of Battle Creek

A part of the Battle Creek city water system has been shut down for repairs, and customers in the affected area are advised to boil the water before using it for human consumption. That includes drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation.

Guilty verdicts in 2004 killings in Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (AP) – A man has been found guilty in the deaths of 2 people shot seven years ago on the campus of a Michigan community college. A Calhoun County jury found Elliott Patterson guilty on Wednesday.
