Make your own. You’ll need green tomatoes, salt, pepper, flour or seasoned flour. Or if you want to get crazy, use flour and cornmeal and an egg.
Slice the hell outta that ‘mator, dip in egg wash, dip in flour mixture, throw in hot bacon grease, salt and pepper to taste….thats it. Turn over when golden brown.

What’s the best restaurant in Ann Arbor, Michigan?
Ok so my sister has a marching band thing in michigan and thats only for two days but im going for 5 and i dont know what the weather is like there so I need help and soon. ill be on macinac island, traverse city, cherry festival in traverse city, macinac city, and a couple other places.

Weather varies. Dress for summer days and cooler evenings. Light jackets, sweats, etc.
Consider insect repellent.
Be prepared for precipitation.

You may want to put in the name of your suburb. Click on the distance tab when the results list comes up to see them in order of how close they are to yuo.
Then I guess you’d have to call the likely-looking ones to ask if they do a clambake or know of a restaurant that does.
Another idea is to post your question on craigslist for Detroit. http://detroit.craigslist.org/
You could also call Detroit Magazine (or whatever it’s called) and ask their food columnists.

does anyone know where I can find a restaurant in michigan (detroit area) that does a traditional clam bake?
They won’t serve us at restaurants and call us flat landers but yet we support their economy and help them in many other ways. I had a guy threaten me and said they ought to burn that damn bridge down, I’m from Detroit and it was the only time I got scared because I knew he really meant it.

The reason yoopers hate everyone is because Michigan doesn’t claim them, and the Canadians don’t want them, neither. In fact, they’re more related to Wisconsin, and NORTHERN Wisconsin, at that. But too far away to even be claimed by them, either. Just sucks to be a yooper. NObody wants them.
Actually, I never had any problems with yoopers. They’re weird, but I don’t tell them that they’re weird, so I don’t get hassled. Makes me wonder what you did.

I live in Michigan and people from the Upper Pinsula hate us, why?
I’m looking for a really great family vacation that isn’t super expensive. We are thinking about going to michigan and would like a beach and a lot of out door activities. Maybe biking, jet skis, horse back riding… etc. and great experiences? Want a relaxing, beautiful vacation!

okay go to the upper peninsula. It is AMAZING up there. Up there you can go camping for i think 20 dollars a night or something like that. it you camp in St. ignace you’ll be right on the lake. or you could go to hougton lake and go to the sleeping bear dunes. i hope this helps.

I grew up in Michigan but know little of vacation spots. My friend and her toddler are planning on coming up from Tennessee and we wanted to stay somewhere that would have lots of things to do that were family-friendly.
